On a study note...

Anyone think of a genre of texts that lends it selve to short narratives? Or a source...

Should probably be internet accessible, will need a large number of them, and they should be relatively short.

The obvious thing is news articles, however they vary a lot in the sorts of structure they have...tragically the most suitable type is sports articles, but I don't really want to analyse hoards of sports reports, plus they are possibly too formulaic...

Hmm, short personal annecdotes are probably the best...might have to look up online confession sites...could at least yield some interesting data...

Then again, I should also look at what Linguistics has paid for, but I suspect much of it is spoken, and some portion will be conversational, and then the interacting variables shoot through the roof :)
